Trip to bangkok April 2005

Bangkok Trip - April 2005

My long planned trip abroad finally became reality when my Mum decided that she give those tickets. Yeah THAI AIRWAYS straight Bangalore-Bangkok.

Thai airport

I packed my bags and the entirely family was there to see me off for my 3 day visit. It was a midnight flight and I was all the more excited. Everyone wished me luck and I set of into the airport to board the flight. After waiting for a while I finally landed aboard the Thai aircraft. I landed a seat next to a fine gentleman who would later be my buddy for 3 days at Thailand. The aircraft took off and I took my time to get comfortable in my new seat. I was thrilled as it was my first time to Thailand and after a 4 hour flight I landed at Thai airport were I was escorted to Holiday Inn, Silom.

Hotel Silom

After checking into my hotel at 3.30 am in the morning I had a bath and slept for 3 hrs. Early morning at 7.00 am I was up and on my way to hunt down an Indian who would guide me to the garment market at Bangkok. My sister’s marriage was scheduled for July and I promised her that I would buy her satin from Bangkok. After some walking around I found a bihari know in Bangkok and luck had it’s way he was into garments. He told me look no further go to indira market and check out for satin. After lunch I slept and in the evening set out for indira market where I was accompanied by my friend. After some searching we landed a shop that sold Satin after some bargaining I managed to secure some satin of superb quality.I had promised everyone something as a foreign return person is known to get gifts for everyone. I bought my brother a watch dad shoes and mum pearls and finally myself some Mars chocolates. The next day I went visiting Safari World on the outskirts of Silom.

Safari World

At safari world I saw all those animals that I only had been seeing on Discovery and NG. But in was worth it.

Dolphin World

After a superb Dolphin Show I finally went home and had the farewell dinner next day I was back to the airport to go home. Thus ended a superb trip.

The making of an ENGINEER.

IT
FEELS GREAT TO HAVE FINAee..ee

BECOME
AN ENGINEER.

My mind drifts back 4 years when i just finished CET and made the choice of joining a BRAND new college.

I was all the more worried as becoming an engineer was something i never imagined possible. But then my parents had the belief that i had the tools to become an outstanding ENGINEER.

The first 2 semesters were HELL. I had horrible teachers that taught chemistry etc and even more horrible subjects like workshop, graphics. But i guess this is why people hate it. Moving to the 3 rd semester saw me work harder and better. I learnt how to score marks and achieve outstanding results. From the 3rd semester onwards i managed to achieve the 80% dream into a reality.

Later in the semester i was hit by a very fine surprise called Mr Janakiram. A techie from Microsoft. He would dawn on my campus for the purpose of recruiting soldiers to carry and spread the DOTNET mission. When my classmates and teachers selected me i was overjoyed. On a sunday morning my dad droped me at BMS College of engineering for the very first meet together. There i met many students like myself who must have been wondering what going on. We were introduced to the objectives and promised rewards for our work. Today when i look back it has been 3 years and i am graduating. It feels funny to leave back so many things.

6th Semester i never wanted to work as a software engineer but time and destiny has it's way i got selected by Torry Harris a e-distributed computing company having operations all over the world. I ditched my MBA desires and decided to work. It is July now and i am hoping to start work early August.
